3 Wheeled Buggies
A 3-wheel buggy is perfect for off-roading and taking on terrains from bumpy pavements to woodland tracks. They are also easier to maneuver around kerbs than models with four wheels.
Kath, the editor of MadeForMums reviews, has tested one of these 3-wheelers on tarmac as well as on various terrains. Check out her review here.
Stability
With four wheels and a central point of gravity that's balanced by weight of your child in the seat, 4-wheel buggies are generally considered to be more stable than three-wheelers. Three-wheel buggies are nevertheless worth considering since they can handle anything from rough terrain to busy streets.
Look for a buggy with large rear wheels, and a lockable wheel on the front. This makes it easier to drive and less likely to fall apart when you're on bumpy roads. These buggies are typically equipped with pneumatic tyres as well, which are excellent for handling surfaces that aren't paved and can even be used on sandy beaches or tracks in woodland.
They're also great buggies to jog with as they provide excellent stability on rougher terrain and can aid you in staying with your running partner. They can also be used to go up and down steep kerbs and a lot of them come with spring suspension built-in so that your baby will have a smooth ride.

A stroller with 3 wheels can be a challenge to maneuver because of its wide frame. 3 wheel pushchairs can be more difficult to maneuver through narrow spaces and doorways than a 4-wheeler. Some manufacturers have addressed this problem with clever design that flips the wheels upwards when they are not in use. This reduces their size and makes them easier to maneuver through doorways.
You'll also have to consider whether the buggy you choose to use is suitable for your child from birth or if you're thinking of using it with an infant car seat or carry cot. If so, check for an upright position and if the design is compatible with other seats and buggy boards (if you're planning to put a toddler onboard). A majority of 3-wheelers can fold flat and be placed upright. This is a great option for those with a small boot space or a small amount of storage space at home. Some will require you to remove the front wheel when folding if you want it to fit into even more compact space.
Manoeuvrability
Three-wheeled buggies can be more maneuverable than four-wheeled strollers. They often have a swivelling front wheel that lets you shift direction quickly and steer using just one hand. Some models have wheels that lock to offer stability on rough terrain. Some models can be used with an additional seat or buggy board if you're looking to grow your family.
If you intend to remove your three-wheeled buggies from the paved roads, you should choose an option with pneumatic tyres. They can handle even the most difficult terrain. These tyres will need periodic pumping, but will be far more durable than tyres made of solid rubber and are more likely to be puncture-proof. It is recommended to choose a model that has an adjustable front wheel that is locked to assist you on tricky surfaces.
The fact that there is only one front wheel can also indicate that three-wheelers can be bulkier than four-wheeled buggies when folded. Make sure the model you select fits in your car's boot and can be placed upright if needed. Certain models can fold with one hand, and they're freestanding when collapsed, which can save space in boot spaces that are smaller.
A well-constructed 3 wheel pushchair is able to cope with most terrain from busy streets to woodland tracks. It's important to think about how you will use it every day. If you're planning to run the school run, it must be able to cope with steep slopes and kerbs. If you'll be running with it, ensure it has a lockable swivelling'stretch' front wheel to keep the ride steady.
Kath the MFM reviewer, was able to determine that her stroller on three wheels was able to handle both urban and rural walks. She noted that it could navigate cobbles, rocky paths and bumpy pavements effortlessly and was comfortable to jog with. It's also a great choice for day trips as it comes with plenty of storage space, including a large, spacious basket with zip-top cover and an extendable 50+ UV hood. It can be modified to meet the needs of babies from birth, including the option of a carry cot or a lying-flat seats. It is also compatible with the most popular second seats and stroller boards.
Fabric Sling Seat
The primary distinction between a fabric and a modular seat is the fabric sling. It is a part of the buggy frame, instead of being placed on top like the modular chair. This allows for a more comfortable and ergonomically-correct position for the baby, which results in a lower center of gravity that is the ideal height. This results in an easier push, a less hefty curb pop (you don't need much effort or weight to push the buggy over the nose of a curb) and better balance and stability.
The sling fabrics used in these kinds of buggy seats are very hard-wearing and easy to clean. Made specifically for the use of sling chairs in mind, these fabrics are incredibly UV-resistant and breathable. They also have a great durability and are easy to clean using mild soap and water.
If you are a jogger, or like to do some off-roading then an all terrain buggy is more likely to suit your needs than a four-wheel buggy. These models are generally larger base, more stable and use air-filled tyres for agile smooth moving on uneven ground.

Modular Seat
Modular seating allows for many different configurations to suit different seating needs. If you want a cozy setting to watch movies or a larger configuration to entertain guests, modular seating can be adjusted easily. Many modular seating systems also come with cushion covers that can be removed, making it easier to clean spills and staining.
Modular Seating can be designed to blend with existing decors or be a standout as an accent piece. You can choose from a wide variety of fabrics, colors, and shapes to design an adjustable seating option that matches your style. Various functional features are also offered in modular seating, like hidden storage compartments that permit easy organization and decluttering of living spaces.
3-wheel buggies are especially suitable for off-road and all-terrain adventures because they offer more stability than strollers with four wheels. The large front wheel that is extremely maneuverable allows for smooth and agile movement. The tyres, which are typically filled with air and have suspension, provide an excellent ride even on the roughest roads and trails. They're also great for navigating up hills because the wheels aren't as close ground as they are on four wheel pushchairs.
Often 3-wheel prams are a favorite for parents who love running and jogging with their baby because they offer superior agility and are less bulky than their 4 wheel counterparts. The GB Upp XL for example is a sleek and polished aluminium frame, with an easy one-hand fold as well as rear and forward facing seats. The Babyzen Yoyo has an all black frame, a carrycot with full lie flat position with air-filled tyres as well as 3 recline positions.
